Call for Abstracts

If you would like to make a presentation at the TEXMEMS VIII, you should submit a two-page abstract by September 15, 2006. The first page should include title, authors, affiliations, technical description in text, and the preference of oral or poster presentation. Text on the first page should be limited to 500 words. The second page should include figures and tables. The oral presentations will be limited to 15 minutes each including questions and answers. The posters will have to be manned for one hour in the poster session in the afternoon.

 

Themes of interest to the workshop include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, Analysis, and Theoretical Concepts on MEMS and related technologies

  • Development of New Materials, Fabrication and Packaging Technologies

  • Micro Sensors (Mechanical, Physical, Chemical, Biomedical, etc

  • Micro Actuators (electrostatic, thermal, acoustic, piezoelectric, magnetic, phase transition based, etc.)

  • Micro-Optical Devices and Systems

  • RF MEMS Devices and Systems

  • Nanoelectromechanical Devices and Systems

  •  Power MEMS & Energy Harvesting 

All submitted abstracts will be collected and published in the TEXMEMS VIII

abstract CD ROM. The abstract CD ROM will be distributed at the Workshop.
